Bulldogs Defeat Lady Lions 88-59

Alabama A&M claimed its second conference win Saturday with an 88-59 victory over Ark.-Pine Bluff. Katrich Williams lead the Bulldogs with 15 points, five steals and had four assist as her team handed the Lady Lions their third loss in a row and ninth road loss.

The Bulldogs kept the Lady Lions at bay beginning with a burst of jumpers and layups in the first quarter and eventually going up by as many as 13 points and posting a 39-27 score at intermission.

Alabama A&M expanded its lead in the second half by as many as 32 points.

The Lady Lions had trouble creating offense, partly because they could not hold onto the ball as they committed 27 turnovers.

Dominisha Johnson had 14 points, Jenna Collier had 13 points while both Rebekkah Barnes and Erica Thompson each added 10 points, respectively.

The Bulldogs will take on Mississippi Valley State Monday at 3:00 p.m. and will be aired live on ESPN-U from Elmore Gymnasium with the men's to follow at 6:00 p.m.
