Final Stats

Baton Rouge, La. - Southern opened the first 13 minutes of the game on a 19-3 run Saturday at the Mini-Dome, and Alabama A&M never managed a serious threat as the Jaguars scored an important SWAC victory 55-41. Christian Malone and Rebekkah Barnes produced 14 and 12 points, respectively, but the Bulldogs shot only 29 percent from the field and struggled throughout the night.

AAMU falls to 4-2 in the SWAC and 6-9 overall with the loss. The Bulldogs travel to Alcorn State for another important SWAC showdown Monday night.
