Alabama A&M held Grambling to just 33 percent shooting from the field en route to a 69-61 victory Monday night in Grambling, La. Katrich Williams led her team with 15 points, four rebounds and two steals. Alabama A&M took the lead early in the game and led by as many as nine points in the first half before posting a five point lead 32-27 at intermission.
The Bulldogs held the lead for the first 10 minutes of the second half before Grambling rallyed to tie the game 42-42. The Tigers would take the lead two more times before A&M would take the led and cruise to its first conference road victory.
Ashleonte' Samuel added 12 points, had two assist and four steals for the night. The Bulldogs will host Arkansas-Pine Bluff at home January 12th at 4:00 p.m.
