Belinda Kanda had a part in all six Alabama A&M goals Friday as the senior scored four and assisted on the remaining two in a Bulldog 6-0 shutout of Alcorn State at Bulldog Field. Racquel Johnson needed to make only one save in goal to preserve the shutout for A&M.
The win improves Alabama A&M to 5-9-1 overall and 2-1-0 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Kanda now has 10 goals on the season. The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Bulldogs.
The two teams will play each other again on Saturday morning on the A&M campus beginning at 10:00 a.m.
