Final Stats

Mickell Gladness had 17 points and eight rebounds, but Alabama A&M could not survive a 10-0 run by Alabama State midway through the first half, and the Hornets left Elmore Gym with an 85-70 victory Saturday night. A&M trailed just 37-31 with 5:00 to play in the first half, but the next three minutes saw ASU stretch the lead to 47-31 and the closest AAMU would get was seven in the second half.

Jonathan Belt added 12 points for the Bulldogs, who fell to 5-7 in the SWAC and 8-14 overall.
