NORMAL - The Alabama A&M women’s basketball team will remain within the friendly confines of the T. M. Elmore Gymnasium on Tuesday evening as they play host to the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. This is the first meeting between the two teams.
The Lady Bulldogs (3-3) extended their win streak to two games in a 79-47 win over LeMoyne-Owen College last Tuesday.
Whiquitta Tobar and NaDra Robertson each led the Lady Bulldogs with 14 points, while Nesfayia Watkins and Brittney Strickland finished with nine respectively.
Minnesota comes in with a 7-4 record. Kiara Bufford leads the team averaging 16.6 points a game.
The Gophers is the second major Division I program to play at Elmore Gym during Warmley's tenure. Auburn played at A&M in 2008.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased by calling the athletics ticket office at 256-372-4759.
