Huntsville, AL -- The Alabama A&M men's soccer schedule has been released and as usual, the Bulldogs will face some stiff competition heading into 2010.
The preseason highlights an alumni game (8/21) that will feature some of A&M’s top past performers and a scrimmage against the University of Montevallo (8/28). The 2010 season features the usual Bulldog foes in Central Arkansas (9/29), Lipscomp University (10/17) and Jacksonville University (9/24). It also includes invitational visits to UNLV (9/6), University of Evansville (9/12) and Alabama-Birmingham (9/26). Other than the two exhibition games to open the season, the Maroon & White do not play in Huntsville until September 29.
Trips to Xavier University (10/2), Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne (10/3), and Virginia Tech (10/11) are on the schedule but the real treat will happen on Saturday, October 9 when A&M faces the defending national champions the University of Virginia. Game time for that event is set for 7:00 pm
The final two home games will feature Lipscomp University (10/17) and the University of Memphis (11/3) in the Rocket City.
All games during this season will be played at Jack Hunt Park and are free and open to the public.
