NORMAL -- The Alabama A&M basketball teams will host the Braves of Alcorn State University, on Saturday, January 22, at 4 and 6 p.m. The contest has been deemed Sorority night on “The Hill”.
The Lady Bulldogs are 9-6 overall and are currently in first-place of the Southwestern Athletic Conference holding on to the last perfect record at 5-0.
Junior guard Whiquitta Tobar leads the Maroon & White averaging 17.9 points per game. Tobar also leads the team with 88 rebounds averaging 5.9 per contest. A&M defeated Alabama State, 55-50 on Saturday, January 15.
Alcorn State leader is Carolinsia Crumbly averages a double double with 17.4 points and 13.9 boards per contest.
The Bulldogs (6-8, 3-2 SWAC) were led by freshman Demarquelle Tabb and senior Jonathan Inman with 16 points each in the 75-60 victory over the Hornets of Alabama State 75-60.
The 1-15 Braves men’s squad is led by Marquiz Baker with 16.6 ppg, and 4.1 rebounds per game.
