NORMAL -- The A&M women’s basketball team will return to action on Tuesday, Jan. 4, as they play in the friendly confines of Elmore Gymnasium for the first time in 2011. The Lady Tigers of Grambling State University will serve as the first guest of the year.  

A&M enters the contest with a 4-6 overall record after falling in defeat to Auburn University 84-59 on Dec. 28, 2010. 

The Lady Bulldogs got 14 points from Gabrielle Williams who came off the bench to lead them in their final non-conference contest. A&M scored 19 points in the first half off of six-of-23 shooting and 26 points in the second off of nine-of-29 from the field.

The game will be a part of the first athletic events in 2011 for the Maroon & White athletics department.
