NORMAL -- The Alabama A&M Basketball teams will host the Tigers of Jackson State University, on Thursday, January 6, at 5:30 and 7:30 pm. It will be Faculty and Staff night on “The Hill”.
Both Bulldog teams opened the 2011 Southwestern Athletic Conference season winning their respective contest. Junior guard Whiquitta Tobar scored a game high 21 points as the Lady Bulldogs defeated Grambling State in overtime 61-55.
Junior Casey Cantey and senior Cornelius Hester combined for 30 points as they led Alabama A&M to a 70-63 win over the Tigers in the Bulldog’s first game of 2011.
The AAMU academic affairs office will be presenting information about new degree programs that are available during the Spring 2011 semester.
