ITTA BENA -- The Alabama A&M Bulldogs’ basketball teams will battle the Devils of Mississippi Valley State University on Saturday, Jan. 8, in Greenville MS.  Tip-off is slated for 12 noon for the women and 2 p.m. for the men.
A&M enters the contest coming off a 66-62 win against Jackson State University.   Junior guard Whiquitta Tobar led all scorers with 16 points while grabbing eight boards. The Maroon and White also got solid performances from freshman forward Jasmine Sanders and junior forward Clarissa Moore who finished with nine and eight points, respectively. Moore led the Maroon & White with nine rebounds, a season high.
As for the men’s team Diamon Alexander scored 11 points and Demarquelle Tabb had 10 versus Jackson State University.  The Bulldogs fought hard but time ran out as they dropped their first Southwestern Athletic Conference contest 57-55 on Thursday night in Elmore Gymnasium.
