Lady Bulldogs cruise to a 61-35 Win

Box Score NORMAL -- The Alabama A&M women’s basketball team continued its three game win streak with a 61-35 thumping of the Golden Eagles of Tennessee Tech University Tuesday night in Elmore Gymnasium.
 
A&M (3-2) was led by Whiquitta Tobar who posted 17 points, four rebounds and pair of assists and steals.  Sophomore Alyssa Strickland finished the night with 11 points along with teammate Nadra Robertson recording 11 points and two blocks.

The Lady Bulldogs won the points in the paint battle 22-8, points off turnovers 20-4, second chance points 12-8 and bench points 15-7.
 
Molley Heady led Tech with 13 points and two rebounds while Brittany Darling tallied double digits on the boards with 12.
 
A&M improved from 23 percent first half shooting to connect on 59 percent in the second half, finishing the game with a 36 percent mark from the field. Tennessee Tech could not find the basket shooting 21 percent in the first half and 22% in the second.

Up next the Maroon and White will host Stillman College on Saturday, Dec. 4, in the final home event on the campus of Alabama A&M University in 2011. Tip-Off is set for 4 p.m.
