Box Score

NORMAL – 23 of 69 for 33 percent is what Alabama A&M shot versus the University of Alabama-Birmingham on New Year’s Eve in their 92-58 loss Saturday night to the Blazers.

Alabama A&M (2-7) has now dropped six straight and will go into 2012 with no victories versus a Division I opponent.  Their next opportunity will come on January 3, 2012 when they open SWAC play in in Jackson, Mississippi vs. Jackson State.
Starting guard Jeremy Crutcher scored 14 points and Casey Cantey added 13 for the Maroon & White. No other Bulldog player scored over five points.

A&M was never in the contest falling behind 46-27 at halftime after shooting 41% on 12 of 29 from the floor and one of five from the three-point line.  The second half did not get any better as the Bulldogs finished 11 of 40 from the field for 28 percent.

Amazingly the Bulldogs committed 23 fouls compared to the Blazers nine in 40 minutes of action.

On Saturday, January 7, the Bulldogs will open SWAC play at home versus the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.  Game time is set for 5 p.m.
