NORMAL -- The Alabama A&M Bulldogs’ basketball teams will battle their in-state rival the Alabama State Hornets on Saturday, Feb. 12, in Montgomery, Alabama. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m. for the women and 5:30 p.m. for the men.
A&M enters the contest coming off a 65-50 thumping of the Lady Lions of the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Monday night.
The Maroon and White (11-10, 7-4 SWAC) was led by Whiquitta Tobar who posted 18 points, eight rebounds and pair of assists and steals. Freshman Jasmine Sanders finished the night with nine points, seven rebounds and two assists
As for the men’s team Junior Casey Cantey scored a season high of 23 points as the Maroon & White topped the UAPB Golden Lions 74-52. With the win the Bulldogs improve to 10-10 overall and 7-4 in the SWAC.
