BATON ROUGE – The Maroon & White basketball teams will complete their two game road swing when they face Southern University tonight at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.
The Lady Bulldogs lose a heartbreaker 64-63 to Alcorn State this past Saturday. The win drops the Altherias Warmley led squad to 8-5 in SWAC play and 12-11 overall. Whiquitta Tobar led all scorers with 26 points.
Last time SU and A&M met the Jaguars took a 67-62 victory in Huntsville.
The men’s squad captured their eleventh win of the season with a 70-68 victory over Alcorn to complete the season sweep. Casey Cantey scored 19 points; including the winning three-point play to give head coach Vann Pettaway his 451st victory.
The Bulldogs defeated Southern 68-58 the first time they met during the month of January.
