NORMAL -- The Alabama A&M basketball teams will host the Devils of Mississippi Valley State University, on Saturday, February 5, at 4 and 6 p.m. The contest has been deemed as “Take a Kid to the Game Day” all kids 12 and under get in free.
 
The Lady Bulldogs are 10-9 overall and are currently in third place of the Southwestern Athletic Conference holding on to a 6-3 record.
 
Junior guard Whiquitta Tobar leads the Maroon & White averaging 17.3 points per game. Tobar also leads the team with 114 rebounds averaging 6.0 per contest. A&M fell to Prairie View, 68-49 on Monday, January 31.
 
Mississippi Valley’s leader is Brittney Lakes who averages 10.7 points per game.
The Bulldogs (9-9, 6-3 SWAC) duo senior Cornelius Hester scored 15 points and junior Casey Cantey posted 11 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Maroon & White past Prairie View A&M 62-53 on Monday night
The 8-14 Devil men’s squad is led by D’Angelo Jackson with 13.5 points per game, and 4.1 rebounds per game.
