Bulldogs Close Out Regular Season at Jackson State

JACKSON - The Alabama A&M Bulldogs’ basketball teams will battle the Tigers of Jackson State University on Saturday, March 5, in Jackson, Mississippi. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m. for the women and 5 p.m. for the men.

The women’s basketball team enters the contest coming off a tough 67-56 loss to Grambling State. Whiquitta Tobar poured in a game high 22 points.
 
Earlier in the year the Lady Bulldogs defeated Jackson State 66-62, on “The Hill.”
 
The Lady Tigers are led by Rachel Jones with 9.8 points per game.
 
In his 24th season, head coach Vann Pettaway’s squad also fell to Grambling State 69-76.  Junior Casey Cantey led the Maroon and White with 21 points while Cornelius Hester and Bo Amusa chipped in 18 and 16 respectively.
Last time these two met, Jackson State walked away with a 57-55 victory over A&M.
