Box Score JACKSON - Opening the New Year and the SWAC season the Lady Bulldogs fell in overtime to the Lady Tigers of Jackson State 72-66 on Tuesday evening.

Whiquitta Tobar scored 22 of her team leading 25 points in the second half. Nesfayia Watkins scored nine points on the evening.

This marks the 35^th time that Tobar has scored in double figures in her career, and her 11^th straight this season.

In the first half AAMU shot 29 percent (9-31) from the field while hitting 50 percent (3-6) from the charity stripe.

Jackson State held a 23-21 lead at intermission.

The Lady Bulldogs shot 36 percent from the field and pulled in 45 rebounds for the game.
A&M falls to 5-6 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

A&M will continue its road trip by traveling to Grambling, Louisiana to take on the Lady Tigers of Grambling State University on Thursday, Jan 5. Tip-off is schedule for 5:30 p.m.
