• In this historic contest the Bulldogs face their first Bowl Championship Series and Southeastern Conference opponent in school history.

• This is also the first BCS National Champion any A&M football team has faced.

• A&M runningbacks coach Andy Fuller played for the Tigers from ‘92-’95. He was a member of the 1993 11-0 squad. Recruited by Pat Dye as a tight end he was All-SEC three out of four years as a Tiger. Fuller played with current defensive line coach Mike Pelton and is a member of the Letterman Club for former football players at Auburn University.

• Defensive coordinator Brawnski Towns wife is an Auburn graduate. Towns recruited Mike Pelton who decided to attend Auburn University with Andy Fuller.

• Alabama A&M is 16-11 in the month of November under head coach Anthony Jones (2-1 in 2002; 2-1 in 2003; 3-0 in 2004; 3-0 in 2005; 2-1 in 2006; 1-2 in 2007; 1-2 in 2008; 2-1 in 2009, 1-2 in 2010, 2-1 in 2011, 1-1 in 2012)

• This was the first time Jones started 6-0 during his 11 year career on "The Hill". The 6-0 start was the first for AAMU since the 1966 team that was lead by Louis Crews.

• Kaderius Lacey has rushed for 2,776 yards in his four year career. He holds the all-time career rushing leader honor and he earned the season rushing record title in 2011 with 1,143 yards.

• In the last eight games quarterback Deaunte Mason has 16 passing touchdowns and nine rushing TD’s the most of any SWAC player.
