Basketball opens season hosting Miles College on “Greek Night”

Normal- On Friday, November 9^th the Alabama A&M men’s and women’s basketball programs will host the visiting Miles College in double header action to open regular season play.

It will be Greek Night on “The Hill”, as both programs play in the first regular season contests of the 2012-2013 season.

The Bulldogs are asking all local Greeks to come out and cheer the teams to victory and wear your paraphernalia.

Coming off a 17-12 season, the Lady Bulldogs will look to begin this year on a positive note. After a win versus the University of Montevallo in their only exhibition match, the Maroon & White will try to duplicate that victory in their season opener.

The women’s contest will tip off a 5:30 p.m.

The men’s program will open their season at 7:30 p.m. Having no exhibition games, the men will see action for the first time versus Miles College. This year, the men’s program will lean on the play of their eight returning players, including veterans, juniors Demarquelle Tabb and Jeremy Crutcher.
