Alabama A&M falls to Southern University, 72-65

On February 18th in their own building, the Bulldogs lost to the Jaguars, 72-65.

An item of note about these two teams: In an earlier matchup this season, the Bulldogs lost 75-69, so this completes the regular season sweep.

Southern University beat Alabama A&M big in shooting and came out ahead in defensive rebounding.

The Jaguars were more accurate from the floor, shooting 53% compared to 41% from the Bulldogs. Southern University pulled down 27 big defensive rebounds compared to 23 by Alabama A&M, and that created a possession gap.
