A&M's starting quareback Deaunte Mason was named co-offensive player of the week in the Southwestern Athletic Conference for week 3. Mason accounted for six touchdowns as the Bulldogs came from behind to beat Prairie View. He completed 22-of-29 passes for 279 yards and three (3) touchdowns. He also rushed for 36 yards and three (3) touchdowns.

This was Mason's first player if the week nod this year and his third honor for his performance versus the Panthers.
