Bulldogs Looking To Split in Texas

NORMAL - The Alabama A&M basketball teams will square off with Prairie View A&M University on Monday January, 28, at the Williams Nicks Building.

The ladies tip off at 5:30 p.m. while the men’s team will hit the hardwood at 7:30 p.m.

Jasmine Sanders scored 13 points and Brittney Strickland added 11 to lead AAMU in a 50-54 loss to Texas Southern on Saturday night.
 
The Lady Bulldogs shot 31 percent overall including 33 percent from behind the arc. With the loss the Lady Bulldogs fall to 5-3 in the league.
 
The Lady Panthers ended a two-game skid with a 63-53 win over Alabama State on Saturday.
 
LaReahn Washington led PVAMU with 13 points shooting 4-of-8 from floor. Michaela Burton added 10 points with Latia Williams posting a game-high 12 rebounds to go with nine points.

The Bulldogs are tied with PV with a 3-5 record in the conference. The Bulldogs have lost three in a row including Saturday evening's 89-56 defeat to Texas Southern.

Jourdan DeMuynck had 17 points and 11 rebounds while Jules Montgomery added 14 points as Prairie View A&M held off a late Alabama State rally for a 74-72 victory in their last meeting.
