A&M to host the Bulldogs of the MEAC

NORMAL - The Alabama A&M women's basketball team will close out the 2013 portion of their schedule at home when they take on South Carolina State University on "The Hill".  Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17.

The home squad will enter Tuesday's contest at 1-6 in hopes of getting their second straight win. A&M defeated the Racers of Murray State University 69-62 for their first victory of the year.

A&M had three players score double figures, and three players tally eight or more rebounds. Leading the way was senior Jasmine Sanders who earned a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds.

SC State got 18 points from reserve guard Mykala Jones but it was not enough as host Clemson placed four players in double figures in handing the Lady Bulldogs an 88-46 non-conference loss at Littlejohn Coliseum on Saturday.

Lady Bulldog junior guard Kourtney Williams, the third-leading scorer (20.2 ppg) in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference entering the contest, was held to just 10 points by the Tiger defense in the loss.

Tickets are still available and are $10.00 for general admission and $15 for reserved seating.  For fans that can't make the holiday contests click here to follow the game live.
