Hayes and company sets for final non-conference match

NORMAL – Head coach Willie Hayes and the men's basketball team is set for their final non-conference match of the season when they play the Blazers of the University of Alabama-Birmingham on Sunday, December 29^th at 2 p.m.

A&M (3-6) is coming off a defeat at the hands of Missouri State before Christmas and will look to polish things off before the Southwestern Athletic Conference season begins.

Currently Jeremy Crutcher leads the team averaging 11.3 points a game and 33 assists. Demarquelle Tabb is second on the squad with 10.6 points and 5.9 rebounds a contest.

Alabama-Birmingham (9-3) is fresh off an 86-63 loss to LSU on December 21^st. Leading the Blazers is Chad Frazier with 18.5 points while CJ Washington averages 13.9 points and 7.5 rebounds a game.

UAB holds the series meeting between these two Alabama neighboring schools at 7-0. They are undefeated at home during the 2013-14 season.
