Normal -- The Alabama A&M Bulldogs’ basketball teams will battle the Jaguars of Southern University on Monday, Feb. 18th, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

A&M captured their eighth win of the season and seventh in the conference with a 55-44 win over Alcorn State Saturday afternoon.

The win gives A&M a season sweep over the Lady Braves for the first time in coach Warmley’s career.

Jasmine Sanders led the team with 10 points and 11 rebounds, recording her fifth double double of the year. NaDra Robertson posted 13 points while point guard Shundray Davis scored nine points and dished out two assists.

The Maroon and White are 8-15 overall and 7-6 in the SWAC.

Last time Southern and A&M met the Lady Bulldogs fell 76-63.  Leading the Lady Bulldogs was Jasmine Sanders who scored a career high 32 points.

The Bulldog basketball team captured their second win on the road with a 72-65 win over Alcorn State.

The last time these two teams met the Jaguars, was the Southwestern Athletic Conference's highest-scoring team and downed the Bulldogs 82-68 in a shootout at T.M. Elmore Gymnasium in January.
 
Demarquelle Tabb led the Maroon & White with 20 points and 13 boards.  Jeremy Crutcher finished with 14 points and six assists.
 
Southern forward Malcolm Miller, the conference's leading scorer had 19 points on 7-for-15 shooting, including 3-for-8 from 3-point range coming off the bench. Guard Derrick Beltran had a game-high 24 for Southern.
