NORMAL - The men’s and women’s basketball teams will face the Tigers of Texas Southern in SWAC double-header action on Saturday, February 23rd, at 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. in Elmore Gymnasium.

The Lady Bulldogs enter the contest with an overall 9-15 record, and an 8-6 conference mark. The Maroon and White are currently in fourth place in the SWACstandings.
A&M took a 64-47 win over Southern University this past Saturday. The win marked the150th victory for head coach Altherias Warmley during her 11 year career at the helm of the women’s basketball program.

Jasmine Sanders led all scorers with 16 points while NaDra Robertson and Alyssa Strickland each posted 15.
The Texas Southern Lady Tigers continued their 13-game winning streak with an impressive 84-71 win over Mississippi Valley Monday evening. Texas Southern currently sits in first place in the league.

The Bulldogs currently hold a 9-16 overall mark, and a 5-9 conference record. The Maroon and White are currently sitting in the eighth position in the men’s standings.

Junior Demarquelle Tabb ranks seventh in the conference in scoring averaging 14.3 points per game and first in rebounding with 9.4.
Ray Penn scored 14 points and Aaron Clayborn added 10 for TSU who currently have a13-14 overall and 12-2 SWAC record. Texas Southern won its eighth consecutive game defeating MVSU 73-57 at home.
