NORMAL – The Alabama A&M Bulldog basketball teams will battle the Tigers of Grambling State University on Thursday, Feb. 28th, in Grambling, La. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. for the women and 7:30 p.m. for the men.

The Lady Bulldogs sit fifth in the SWAC in scoring at 59.7 points per game. Jasmine Sanders, is sixth the league in scoring with 11.5 and 10th in rebounding with 6.4 per contest.

Last time these two teams met the Lady Bulldogs opened the 2013 Southwestern Athletic Conference competition with a 78-56 victory over the Lady Tigers.

Leading the charge for A&M in the second half, was Brittney Strickland with 12 second-half points. Senior Clairissa Moore aided the Lady Bulldogs to victory adding eight points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

Jessica Watkins led the Lady Tigers with 14 points while Joanna Miller contributed with 13.

The 9- 16 Bulldogs, will take on the winless 0-25 Tigers of Grambling State. In their first meeting A&M defeated GSU 78-53 to open league play.

Junior center Justan Banks led the team posting his second career double double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. G. A. Hill and Demarquelle Tabb each posted 12 points while freshman Tyler Davis scored a season high 10 points in 19 minutes.

Terry Rose is the lone Tiger, who is averaging in double figures, scoring 14.0 points per game.
