Lady Bulldogs fall to Lady Tigers, 52-45

JACKSON, Miss. - JACKSON, Miss. – The Alabama A&M women's basketball team lost its fourth straight game, falling 52-45 to Jackson State, on Saturday afternoon at the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center.

AAMU was outscored 33-19 in the second half, after leading by seven points at halftime.
 
With the loss AAMU falls to a 9-19 overall, and 8-10 in the league. JSU improved to 12-15, with a 9-9 conference record.

Two Lady Bulldogs scored in double figures. Jasmine Sanders scored a team high 13 points and pulled down six rebounds. She went five of 13 from the field and three of four from the charity stripe. Taylor Sippial also finished with 13 points.
 
Tiffany Kellum led JSU with 14 points on seven of nine shooting from the field. Beatrice Banks and Ayanna Fuller each followed with 10 points.
The Maroon and White led 26-19 at halftime; however JSU outscored A&M 20-16 in the paint.
 
Up next, the Lady Bulldogs will compete in the 2013 Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament, which will be held in Garland, Texas, March 12-16th.
