The Bulldogs entered the match 1-2 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference after gaining their first win versus UAPB this past Saturday.

The Maroon & White started the game off slowly. After going down 12-4 by the first media time out, A&M gained momentum by scoring consecutive baskets to close the MVSU lead.

With eight minutes remaining in the first half, they trailed by eight points after chipping away at their deficit.

By the end of the half, the Devilettes took a ten point lead into the break 47-37.

Defensively, the Bulldogs recorded six steals and forced 13 Valley turnovers in 20-mintues of action.

Offensively, the Strickland twins of Stockbridge, Georgia, Brittany and Alyssa, led the scoring for the Maroon and White with nine points apiece.

Throughout the second half, A&M continued to fight. The Bulldogs went on an 11 to seven run to close the Devilettes lead to seven. Increased intensity and defensive pressure lead to the momentum shifting in favor of the home team.
