Hayes & company look to remain undefeated at Alcorn

A&M Men's Basketball Overall Stats

NORMAL – Head coach Willie Hayes first road win came against the Braves on February 20, 2012.  The next time they played the Braves in Lorman the Bulldogs came away with a 72-62 win on February 16, 2013.

During the last two seasons the Maroon & White have found a way to win in the Dave Whitney gymnasium.

"Alcorn is playing well," said coach Hayes.  "We have to match up with Lucket who is a big wing man for them and is averaging double digit points."

A&M (3-3 SWAC, 6-10) is coming off a 66-52 loss at the hands of Southern University.  Now, they will look for a win on "The Reservation" where they have been successful.

Jeremy Crutcher finished with 16 points his 11th contest with double digit numbers, while G. A. Hill totaled 10 for his seventh game in double digits. Senior Jose Long finished with seven points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes of action all versus Southern.

Crutcher, who is averaging 12.6 points a game and has collected 44 assists, will look to lead his team over Alcorn.

The Braves are coming off a 58-54 loss at the hands of Alabama State Saturday evening. Octavius Brown scored 13 points while Anthony Evans and Marquis Vance added 12 apiece.

Point's leader LeAntwan Lucket scored six points but is averaging 14.9 a game.
