Randall set for first League Competition

First year head coach Semeka Randall is set to open her first SWAC competition when she leads the Maroon & White into the Lee E. Williams Athletic Assembly Center for a 3:00 p.m. date with Jackson State on Saturday, Jan. 4.

In six road games this season, A&M is 0-6 and has been outscored 81-58.  Offensively, the Bulldogs are shooting 34 percent from field, including 22 percent from beyond the arc, while also dishing out 54 assists, compared to 109 by their oppositions.
 
On the defensive end, opposing squads are shooting 47 percent, along with owning the rebounding advantage at 265-193.
 
Last time out, the Maroon & White fell to 2-8 on the year after an 83-79 loss to Kennesaw State University.
 
AAMU was led by Jasmine Sanders with her fourth double - double this season. Sanders finished with 27 points a season high and 12 rebounds in the defeat.  The Strickland twins also tallied double figure points finishing with 20 (Brittany) and 16 (Alyssa) on the day.
 
Before the break, two Lady Tigers scored in double figures when Jackson State fell 72-45 at the Maravich Center. Ekwara Ndongo came off the bench to score a team high 12 points and Kameron Jones added 10. Ayanna Lynn added seven points in 30 minutes off the bench.
 
With the loss JSU falls to 2-8 on the season.
