Bulldogs set for Texas Two-Step

NORMAL – Men's basketball on "The Hill' heads to Houston, Texas this weekend for their final regular season road trip.  Prairie View A&M will serve as the first opponent for A&M.

The A&M men's team (7-7, 10-14) fell in their most recent contest to Alcorn State University 64-56.  Sophomore Nicholas West scored 13 points while Demarquelle Tabb added 10 points and eight rebounds.

The Bulldogs are ranked third in scoring defense (68.3), second in field goal percentage defense (.418), third in 3-point field goal percentage defense and third in block shots (3.7).

Individually Demarquelle Tabb is ranked eighth in field goal percentage (.491), third in block shots (1.7 bpg) and sixth in defensive rebounds (4.3 rbg). Jeremy Crutcher is eighth in assists (3.3 apg), second in 3-point field goal percentage (.405) and fifth in three's made (2.0 tpg).

The Panthers are 6-8 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference and 10-14 overall.  They are led by Montrael Scott who is averaging 15.1 points in 25 games started.  PV is on a three game losing streak after they fell 75-69 to Mississippi Valley, February 4.
