Bulldogs Host Southern University

NORMAL – The Alabama A&M men's basketball team will host the Jaguars of Southern University, on Saturday, January 24, at 6:00p.m., on "The Hill" in the T.M. Elmore Gymnasium.

The Bulldogs are ranked fourth in the league in rebounds. As a team, A&M averages 34 boards per game.

A&M has averaged just 58.4 points and shot 46 percent from the floor (31% in three pointers) in its six games at Elmore this year and has been outscored by 9.3 points per game in the last two outings.

Southern ranks first in the league in scoring defense (64.9 ppg), but fifth in free throw percentage (65%) and fifth in 3-point defense (33.9%). The Jaguars are second in scoring offense (63.6 ppg) and second in field goal percentage (45.2%).

During half time of the men's game, the women's bowling team will be honored for winning the 2014 SWAC Bowling Championship.
