Gameday: It's Homecoming!

HUNTSVILLE -- All of the parties, concerts and festivities that exemplify Homecoming will be capped this afternoon when the Bulldogs host Alcorn State.

Among the alums returning to The Hill are members of the 2006 Southwestern Athletic Conference football champion Bulldogs. They will be special guests on the sidelines in the pregame and will be recognized between the first and second quarters.

In the meantime, the current Bulldogs, despite a 1-3 SWAC record (1-4 overall), are in the thick of the East Division race. Jackson State is on top at 2-1, followed by Alcorn State (1-2), with the Bulldogs and Alabama State in third at 1-3.

The Bulldogs chase for the title resumes today against Alcorn State with the Hornets and JSU (season finale) still to come. If they win out, A&M could bring the SWAC East title home on the 10th anniversary of the program's lone SWAC championship.

Kickoff today is 2 p.m. at Louis Crews Stadium.
