Carden named SWAC Special Teams Player of the Week

Box Score BIRMINGHAM -- For the second straight week, Nick Carden has been named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.

Carden punted 10 times for an average of 40.5 yards per punt. Three of his punts were downed inside the Grambling-20 and he had a 50-yard boot.

Carden, a junior, also had a 21-yard field goal and was 2-for-2 on extra points. He is currently fifth in the league in scoring with 57 points.
