Bulldogs host Tennessee Tech in home season debut

HUNTSVILLE -- After six straight road games to open the season, the Alabama A&M men's basketball team is in the friendly surroundings of T.M. Elmore Gym to host Tennessee Tech.

REMATCH: The Golden Eagles defeated the Bulldogs in their Nov. 17 meeting in Cookeville, Tenn.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP: Freshman De'Ederick Petty is the top scorer for the Bulldogs, averaging 12.3 points per game.

CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARDS: Quinterian McConico, a second team All-SWAC preseason selection, is averaging 7.5 rebounds per game while scoring 10.2 points per game.

ONE-NIGHT STAND: This is the Bulldogs' lone home game until the SWAC schedule begins Jan. 2.

ROAD WARRIORS: The Bulldogs close out the year with four more road games: Dec. 10 in Troy, Dec. 14 at Georgia State, Dec. 22 at Bowling Green (Ohio) State and Dec. 29 at Western Michigan.

GETTING ACQUAINTED: This isn't just the second meeting of the season between A&M and Tennessee Tech, it's just the second meeting all-time between the two schools that are about 125 miles apart.

SENIOR ASSISTANCE: Rakiya Battle, the SWAC's top assists player in each of the past two seasons, is third in the league with an average of 4 assists per game.
