BATON ROUGE, La. -- Hurricane Nate has made its presence known and affected today's Alabama A&M-Southern football game before making landfall.

The game was originally set for 6 p.m. and was to be Homecoming for Southern University.

However, the kickoff is now 1 p.m. and the Jaguars' Homecoming will be set for another game.

The Bulldogs sit atop the SWAC East Division at 2-0 while Southern is 0-1 in the West Division. A&M hasn't beaten the Jags since a 24-23 win in 2012.

A&M quarterback Aqeel Glass is fifth in the conference in passing at 163.4 yards per game and he has a pair of receivers among the SWAC's top 10.

Octayvious Miles is fifth with an average of 52.6 yards receiving per game. However, against two SWAC teams, Miles has posted back-to-back 100-yard reception games.

Tight end/H-back Roderick Randolph is 10th in the conference with a 33.5 yards per game average.

On the other side of the ball, the Bulldogs have the No. 2 defensive unit in the SWAC in total defense - yielding just 331.8 yards per game. Last week, A&M held Arkansas-Pine Bluff to just 133 yards of total offense after limiting Texas Southern to 288 yards the week before.

The Bulldogs' Sack Pack is second in the SWAC with 11 sacks for minus-83 yards.

Yurik Bethune heads a trio of Bulldogs among the SWAC's top 10 sackers. He is second with 3.5 sacks, followed by Kenneth Davis, who is fifth with 2.5 sacks; and Vernon Moland with 1.5 sacks, good for 10th.

Defensive backs Mike Mills and Dylan Hamilton have each recovered a league-best two fumbles.
