Gameday: Lady Bulldogs host Austin Peay

HUNTSVILLE -- The Lady Bulldogs are home today to host Austin Peay in a special morning nonconference basketball game.

A&M is welcoming several hundred schoolkids for Elementary School Day and tipoff is 11 a.m.

So, come on out and cheer on the Lady Bulldogs and tap your inner youth!

And, the game's on us!

LAST TIME OUT: Alisha Davis made just one basket in the entire game Saturday against Tennessee State but it was the game-winner in a 77-75 victory for the Lady Bulldogs, 2-1. A&M, posting back-to-back wins over Division I opponents for the first time since 2013, withstood a furious Tennessee State comeback attempt in Nashville. Nigeria Jones scored 13 points and had a second-straight six-assist night and Ashlyn Dotson added 13 points.

ABOUT AUSTIN PEAY: The Governors posted a 80-72 comeback win Sunday over Trevecca Nazarene. Austin Peay (2-1) had six players in double figures, led by 17 points from senior Bri Williams.

ALABAMA A&M vs. AUSTIN PEAY: The Govs hold a 3-1 series advantage with A&M's only win coming in 2011 by an 80-68 score. The last meeting was Dec. 29, 2012 in Elmore Gym and APSU won 87-54.
