WBB: Lady Bulldogs on the Road Against Southeastern Louisiana Thursday

HAMMOND, LA---The Alabama A&M women's basketball team will return to the road Thursday as they travel to Hammond, LA to face Southeastern Louisiana for a 2 p.m. tipoff in the University Center.

The game between the Lady Bulldogs (4-5) and the Lady Lions (1-9) can be heard live in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM (90.9), online at www.LionSports.net/listenlive and via the TuneIn Radio app.

Thursday's game will mark the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

Scouting the Teams:
ALABAMA A&M: The Lady Bulldogs enter the showdown after dropping a 85-58 decision to UAB on Sunday. Leading the way for the Lady Bulldogs was DeShawna Harper with 17 points. Jameica Cobb followed with 10 points, while Ashlyn Dotson and Nigeria Jones added eight points. Dotson had a game-high 11 rebounds.

Ashlyn Dotson is the leading scorer with an 8.0 points-per-game average and Jones averages 8.4 ppg. Kanisha Tharpe averages 5.6 rebounds a game to lead the team while being ranked 9th in the SWAC in rebounding. Lauren McKee (3.7 assists per game) and Jones (3.0 assists per game) are ranked 5th and 9th in the SWAC in that category.

SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA: Southeastern Louisiana will enter the game looking to snap a four-game losing streak after falling to Auburn, 80-46, on Tuesday night.

Taylin Underwood led Southeastern with 15 points, five rebounds and three steals in the loss. Courtney Dawsey and Ashailee Brailey each added eight points. Dawsey and Underwood each tallied a team-high four assists.

Underwood leads the Lady Lions and ranks third in the Southland with 17.4 points per game and leads the league with 3.4 three-point field goals per game. Caitlyn Williams (8.7 ppg), Jyar Francis (7.3 ppg) and Brailey (6.3 ppg) are the other top scorers for Southeastern Louisiana.
