LORMAN, Miss. -- Alabama A&M's Quinterian McConico continues to show why he is one of the top basketball players in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
The senior center has the best field-goal shooting percentage in the league, making 147 of 253 shots from the field for a .581 shooting percentage.
The preseason All-SWAC second team center, McConico is also averaging 14.3 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game. He is the fourth-leading rebounder and ninth in the league in scoring.
McConico is one of just three players in the conference who is in the top nine in each of the those three categories.
Tonight, McConico and the Bulldogs will take on Alcorn State at 7:30 - following the Lady Bulldogs-Alcorn State game which tips off at 5:30 p.m.

Saturday is Senior Night, honoring the seniors on the men's and women's teams, and Greek Night to salute the university's sororities and fraternities.
Prairie View A&M visits Elmore Gym on Saturday with the women's game tipping off at 4 p.m., with the men's game to follow. The Senior Day recognition will precede each game.
