HUNTSVILLE -- A&M's Mohamed Sherif had his first career double-double but Mississippi Valley's TaJay Henry's shot with 0.8 left in the game lifted the Delta Devils to a 68-66 win.

The game saw the Bulldogs battle back after trailing by as many as 9 points late in the second half.
With MVSU up 65-58 with 1:01 to play, Sherif made a layup to cut the lead to 65-60.
On the Bulldogs' next possession, De'Ederick Petty hit a jumper and converted the and-one after being fouled to narrow the margin to 65-63 with 35 seconds left.

Henry made just one of two free throws at the 31-second mark to put MVSU up 66-63.
Petty then converted another and-one after being fouled on a layup with 17 seconds left, tying the score at 66-66.
The Delta Devils then played for the last shot and Henry took the short jumper for the 68-66 lead.
On the ensuing throw-in, Petty heaved a desperation shot that hit off the backboard.
Sherif scored 14 points on shooting 6-of-7 from the field and he had 11 rebounds for A&M. Petty added 13 points and Marcus Merriweather had 12 points.
