Bulldogs bats go cold at Eastern Kentucky

RICHMOND, Ky. -- The Bulldogs' bats never warmed up Wednesday as they lost 19-0 at Eastern Kentucky.

Cornelious Woods doubled and singled and Dalton Mitchell had a pair of singles for the Bulldogs.

On the mound, Brandon Marsonek struck out four batters in two innings while yielding two runs and a pair of hits. Fernando Diaz Jr. had a shutout inning with a strikeout in his appearance.

The Bulldogs (4-16 overall, 1-2 SWAC) are home this weekend when Mississippi Valley State (2-11, 1-5) visits for a three-game conference series.

Game times are 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1 p.m. Sunday.
