GRAMBLING, La. -- The Bulldogs wrap up their season today with a chance of making things difficult for Grambling's postseason hopes.
Grambling is battling for the No. 4 seed in the upcoming SWAC Tournament and can fall out of the chance to host a game with a loss to A&M.
In their previous meeting two months ago, the Tigers rallied late and escaped Elmore Gym with a 69-67 win.
For the Bulldogs, McConico is the top field-goal shooter in the league, making 172 of 291 shots for a .591 percentage.
A preseason All-SWAC selection, he is second in double-doubles with seven. McConico is also fourth in rebounds with 7.4 per game and ninth in scoring at 14 points per game.
Battle, also a preseason All-SWAC choice, is second in assists with 135 total and 4.8 per game. He led the league in assists in each of the past two seasons.
Edwards had come on offensively recently for A&M. He has scored in double figures in five of the last seven games, including a 16-point, 10-rebound outing last weekend against Prairie View A&M.
Cotton has been the sixth-man for the Bulldogs, but has started in two of the last three games. He is second on the team in three-pointers with 21 and his hit from beyond the arc with a .318 percentage.
The game can be heard on WJAB-FM 90.9 and wjab.org with Michael Burns on the play-by-play.
