Malcom, Redmond homer in Bulldogs loss to Jackson State

HUNTSVILLE -- Zeth Malcom and Kyle Redmond each homered but the Bulldogs lost 14-2 Saturday to Jackson State.

The Tigers won the first two games of the three-game series. Game three is Sunday at 1 p.m.

JSU had a 2-0 lead after the first half inning.

Malcom, with two outs, sent a 2-2 pitch over the left-field fence to cut the Tigers' lead to 2-1. It was Malcom's fourth home run this season.

In the second inning, Redmond hit his first career homer also over the left-field fence to tie the score at 2-2.

However, that was all the scoring for the Bulldogs, who fall to 5-6 in the SWAC.


Malcom and Redmond each also singled and Cornelious Woods had a triple off the fence in left-center.
