Quarterback Aqeel Glass named SWAC Newcomer of the Week

BIRMINGHAM -- Bulldogs quarterback Aqeel Glass has been named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Week.

In last Saturday's 30-13 win over Texas Southern in the Louis Crews Classic, Glass completed 22 of 37 passes for 337 yards and two touchdowns.

It was the most completions, attempts, yards passing and touchdown passes for the freshman from St. Louis in his short career.

The Bulldogs return to action this Saturday for Homecoming. They will take on Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 2 p.m.
