GAMEDAY: Bulldogs host UAPB in Homecoming battle of unbeatens

HUNTSVILLE -- It's Homecoming!

The Maroon and White Family return to The Hill for fun, festivities and, of course, football.

Today, the Bulldogs host Arkansas-Pine Bluff in a battle of unbeatens in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

In fact, the winner of today's game will be 2-0 in the SWAC for the first time since 2011.

The Bulldogs are coming off a resounding 30-13 win over Texas Southern and the Golden Lions knocked off Jackson State 34-27.

A&M quarterback Aqeel Glass is the reigning SWAC Newcomer of the Week and he was an honorable mention as a National FCS Freshman of the Week.

All he did was complete 22 of 37 passes for 337 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including a 62-yard scoring pass to Octayvious Miles.

Miles, himself, had quite the day. He was the first Bulldog since Ulysses Banks in 2006 to lead the team in rushing (70 yards), receiving (100 yards) and returns (26 yards) for 196 yards of total offense.

So, hold on to your seats. This game has all the promise of a classic.
