HUNTSVILLE — The Alabama A&M women's basketball home-opener has arrived.

Alabama A&M hosts North Florida on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Bulldogs' first home game of the season. Tipoff is scheduled for 11 a.m.

The home-opener also is Elementary Day at Alabama A&M. Elementary students in Huntsville and Madison County are invited to attend the event with no admission costs. There also is no admission fees to the general public.

Alabama A&M (1-2) enters its home-opener against North Florida (2-2) with the Bulldogs coming off a strong road trip to the West Coast, where the team beat San Diego State 61-53 and lost to California Baptist 60-55.

Newcomer Dariaruna Lewis has played well for Alabama A&M since transferring from Missouri State. The sophomore forward is averaging 14.3 points and 17.7 rebounds per game.
