Bulldogs Travel to Face Clemson For Last Road Matchup Before Home-Opener

CLEMSON, S.C. __ Alabama A&M will face the first of three Atlantic Coast Conference foes on Thursday night as the Bulldogs match up against the Clemson Tigers at Littlejohn Coliseum. The contest will tip at 7 p.m. Eastern Time and will also be televised on the ACC Network (ACCNX).

About A&M
  • Alabama A&M will play their fifth and final road game of the seasoning opening stretch before hosting Troy University for their home-opener on Monday, Nov. 25 at Elmore.
  • The Bulldogs were predicted to finish eighth in the conference this season, according to the SWAC preseason polls.
  • Graduate transfer TJ Parham led the Bulldogs in their last game at Miami (OH) with 17 points and 4 rebounds in the 79-63 loss last Saturday against the Mid Atlantic Conference opponent.
  • Freshmen guards Cameron Alford and Garrett Hicks each added 13 points in the previous contest, with Alford recording his first career double-double by finishing with 10 rebounds as well.
  • Newcomers have led the way for A&M so far as six of the top scorers are playing their first season for the Bulldogs.
  • The Bulldogs have three double-digit scorers currently, led by Alford (12.8 ppg), along with fellow freshman Hicks (10.8 ppg) and graduate transfer Parham (10.8 ppg)
  • On the season, Alabama A&M is shooting 36.3 percent from the field and averaging eight steals per game.
  • Thursday's matchup is one of three games A&M will play on ACC Network (ACCNX). The Bulldogs will play the University of Miami on Saturday, Dec. 14 and Notre Dame on Sunday, Dec. 29 also on ACC Network.

About Clemson
  • Clemson is currently 3-1, with wins over Detroit, Colgate and Presbyterian. The lone loss on the year came against conference opponent Virginia Tech.
  • The Tigers have three double-digit scorers through four games this season
  • Former Texas and Alabama forward Tevin Mack leads the Tigers in scoring at 14.8 ppg, followed by John Newman III at 11.8 ppg and Aamir Simms at 10.8 ppg.
  • Clemson is out scoring opponents by 15.5 points on the season (307-245).
  • The Tigers display plenty of depth as nine players average more than ten minutes per contest, and seven average at least 17 minutes per.
