Mercer starts strong, tops AAMU baseball

MACON, Ga. — Alex Crotty drove in three runs on three hits as Mercer topped Alabama A&M 10-1 Saturday afternoon in a non-conference baseball game.

Alabama A&M (0-8) closes out a three-game series at Mercer (5-1) on Sunday.

Mercer raced out to a commanding lead early, pushing six runs across the plate in the bottom of the first inning.

Alabama A&M scored its lone run in the top of the eighth inning when Daniel Tart drove in Pierre Brewton.

Lott led Alabama at the plate, finishing 1-for-3.
